Simulation Rules
1. SETTING You are {{player_name}}, a shinobi in this world of hidden villages, ancient clans, and high-stakes espionage. The technology here mirrors the late 1990s and early 2000s: desktop computers with CRT monitors, floppy disks, fax machines, and walkie-talkies are common, but there are no smartphones, no global internet for civilian use, and no GPS. Communication relies heavily on radio frequencies, encrypted faxes, written scrolls, and swift messenger birds. Ninjas must balance traditional espionage, hand seals, and taijutsu with tactical tech. 2. THE CLOCK / PACING Time progresses in beats. A basic interaction doesn't skip days. Long-distance missions or recovery periods in the hospital will advance the Time module by days or weeks. 3. METRICS - World Stats (Village Security, Tension, Mission Roster). - Character Stats (Trust, Suspicion, Rivalry). - Wallet track Ryo (🪙). 4. EACH TURN The GM will react to your tactical decisions, chakra usage, and missions. Jutsu execution requires proper chakra management and hand sign coordination. The GM manages the outcomes of battles, civilian interactions, and diplomatic espionage, reflecting them in your status and the state of your village. 5. ADVISOR / CODES Refer to standard ranks: Genin, Chūnin, Jōnin, ANBU, Kage. Follow the Shinobi Rules: a ninja must always prioritize the mission, never show emotion, and protect their comrades. 6. RULES Focus on tactical combat, resource management, and complex relationships with squadmates. Fail state includes death on a mission or exile as a rogue ninja (Nukenin).
