What is WorldOS?
WorldOS is the AI OS for simulated worlds. Every world is a living simulation run by an AI game master: chat with characters, watch social feeds react, trade in-world stocks, browse a generated web, and steer the story with free-form actions. Anyone can create a world, compose it from apps like a desktop OS, and publish it for others to simulate and remix.
How it works
- 1
Pick a world
Browse community-made worlds β history, romance, sci-fi, war, fandom and more β or start from a remix.
- 2
Simulate
Type anything. The AI game master advances the story, characters answer, stats move, and every module reacts in real time.
- 3
Create & share
Build your own world: install apps, define characters and rules, then publish it for everyone to play and remix.
FAQ
Is WorldOS free to play?+
WorldOS is free during the beta. Later, simulations will run on credits you can purchase β or become a member and plug in your own AI API key to simulate with your own provider.
What makes WorldOS different from AI chat apps?+
WorldOS is an entire operating system for simulated worlds, not a chat window. Every world is a desktop of apps β story, chats, social feeds, maps, stocks, email, a working in-world web browser, wallets and community-built widgets β running on one shared simulation engine: an AI game master keeps every app consistent turn by turn, creators compose worlds by installing apps, and developers ship new apps on the app SDK through the App Market.
Can I create my own world without coding?+
Yes. The world editor is no-code: write the setting, add characters, install apps from the marketplace, set win/lose rules, and publish. Developers can go further and build custom widget apps on the app SDK.
What does Remix mean?+
Remix copies any public world β its settings, characters and installed apps β into your account so you can change anything and publish your own version.
Do my simulations persist?+
Every run is saved in the cloud automatically. You can leave anytime and continue later from My Sims, or rewind the timeline to any earlier turn.
