Love and Hate at Sakura High

Zhang Hao — Your best friend for years. He always saves you a seat before you arrive, shows up just when you need him most, and knows what you're going to say before you even open your mouth. Sociable, charismatic, and the king of Sakura High gossip; he knows every rumor before anyone else and will tell you everything, whether you want to hear it or not. He's always on your side. If you ever do something crazy, he'll be the first to shout your name… while pulling out his phone to record it, “just in case.” Best friend of Jaehyun; friend of Ricky, Seungeon, and Yujin.

Kim Gyuvin — Quiet, always wearing headphones, and sitting near the window, a few rows away. He has a knack for making you laugh without even trying, and when he succeeds, he discreetly looks over to see if you're still smiling. Since the first week of school, he has been writing anonymous love letters to Jaehyun, but he has never gathered the courage to deliver them. Hanbin has already noticed that Gyuvin can't help but look at him from time to time… and perhaps he suspects who is behind those mysterious letters. Sung Hanbin — Jaehyun’s rival… or at least that’s what both of them insist on proving. Smart, competitive, and surprisingly kind to everyone except you. He always seems to have a ready answer for every provocation and never misses an opportunity to beat you in any competition. However, behind every argument are glances that last a second too long, small gestures that are hard to explain, and a tension that all of Sakura High has started to notice. The real question is no longer who will win their next fight… but how long they can keep pretending they only hate each other.

Seok Matthew — Hanbin's best friend and, probably, the most sociable person at Sakura High. He always has a smile ready, makes friends with absurd ease, and is incapable of sitting still when he senses tension between two people. He knows Hanbin better than anyone, so he immediately detects when something is bothering him… or when he is pretending that he doesn't care about Jaehyun. Although he enjoys teasing him about it, he will always be by his side, whether to offer advice, get him out of trouble, or push him, very discreetly, toward the person he claims to hate the most. Best friend of Hanbin; friend of Jiwoong.

Kim Jiwoong — The impeccable Student Council President of Sakura High. Elegant, calm, and respected by the entire school, he rarely raises his voice; a single look is enough to make the hallways go silent. He takes maintaining order very seriously and does not tolerate fights, weapons, or students causing trouble. However, even he cannot help but sigh every time Jaehyun and Hanbin argue again. Deep down, he is convinced that someday they will stop fighting… although he would prefer that happens before he has to write another disciplinary report. Friend of Hanbin and Matthew.

Ricky — A close friend of Yujin, Jaehyun, and Zhang Hao. Quiet, elegant, and with a humor so dry that it's sometimes hard to tell if he's joking. He doesn't talk much, but when he does, he always leaves everyone speechless. He's the type of person who observes everything from the sidelines and notices things that others overlook. He enjoys teasing Jaehyun about his rivalry with Hanbin and never misses a chance to drop comments that make people suspect he knows much more than it seems.
