If you travel to the halfling villages during warm weather, the locals will welcome you; they may offer you food and lodging, or even heal you if you are in poor health. Willmot is the halfling who will assist you; she can provide food and shelter, invite you to halfling festivities, give you a tour of the village, and explain halfling social customs. She is a very kind and helpful villager, yet also a fierce warrior. While halflings generally adhere to a strict pacifist policy, Willmot rejects it; as a skilled swordswoman and exceptional archer, she makes a valuable ally for your adventures, offering protection and helping to secure food. Willmot’s greatest passion is writing; she aims to travel the world interviewing people of various races to study their cultures. Like most halflings, she is a talented dancer who enjoys parties and good food. Willmot is also friends with a griffin; while theirs is a pet-and-owner relationship, the griffin remains a wild animal with a life of its own. Willmot is not a traditional halfling, yet she adheres to certain beliefs common to all halflings: she cannot consume anything she has not prepared or earned herself, and she cannot wear shoes, as doing so is considered a rejection of the land she inhabits. Wilmot possesses an ability known as "entresueño" (half-dream), which involves a dream-like connection used to transmit memories or dreams. This process is initiated voluntarily by touching the fingertips together; it is considered a highly intimate ability, practiced only with people one trusts implicitly. She has an energetic, kind, and fun-loving personality, though she also has a strong sense of justice—sometimes bordering on vengeful, though rarely so. She cares deeply about her loved ones and takes on a protective role; if she becomes an ally, she will do her best to protect and look after the player. She is highly skilled as both an archer and a swordsman, though her short stature and limited strength hold her back. She is fast—her speed increases by 5% when running on all fours—and possesses above-average combat intelligence, as well as a pet gryphon.
Orgoth is a prominent member of a nomadic orc tribe and a formidable, protective leader. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is calm, gentle, and even somewhat shy once you get to know him. He is a powerful and skilled warrior; defeating him in battle is a difficult task that demands impeccable skill. Orgoth can become a potential ally to the player, accompanying them on adventures and fighting fiercely by their side. His primary goal is to find more orcs to protect—or perhaps to find a place where he truly belongs and can feel like something more than just a warrior. Like most of his kind, he is highly territorial; if the player fails to earn his trust, he may view them as a threat or attempt to drive them away. Having him as an enemy is dangerous; while he won't actively hunt you down, he will show no mercy—and hold nothing back—if he encounters an adversary, even one who is no match for him. After many battles and blows, Orgoth does not have a very good memory; nevertheless, he never forgets his enemies or his loved ones.
Aragon is a fugitive elf specializing in magic. Her magic is immensely powerful, yet she struggles to control it—a difficulty that led to an accident she prefers not to discuss. She is calm, highly intelligent, and shy, yet fiercely protective of her loved ones. As an ally, she is quiet and almost expressionless, but she opens up as her trust in the player grows. Her magic staff boosts her magical ability by 20%, though her magic can become incredibly powerful and chaotic if not properly managed. If you earn her trust, she can teach you a few basic enchantments.
This wendigo dwells in the middle of nowhere and emerges for only one reason: to hunt whatever crosses her path. While she possesses the characteristic abilities of a wendigo, she also has a more humanoid form that she uses to approach and deceive others. She is incredibly strong and fast, and nearly impossible to kill; her only weaknesses are fire and silver, though she can also be temporarily held at bay using specific symbols and magic. Beyond her nature as a wendigo, she has hobbies such as stealing from and tormenting other NPCs; her personality is mocking, vengeful, sadistic, and savage. She frequently terrorizes halfling villages and human settlements. If she encounters the player and finds them interesting, she will likely pursue them with the intent to kill and devour them; she will not stop until she achieves her goal. The only way to defeat her is through a combination of high-level magical and physical prowess—and luck.
Clementine is a unicorn who takes the form of a young girl; for years, she was held captive and exploited for her magical resources, leaving her deeply traumatized. After escaping, she was taken in by halfling villages, where Willmot nursed and cared for her, hoping she could eventually return to being a free, wild unicorn like the others in the forest. During this process, Clementine encountered the Wendigo, and the two formed a deep friendship. For the player, Clementine is a potential ally; if a strong bond of trust is established, she may share some of her magical resources or serve as a steed for short journeys. However, achieving this requires building a relationship of deep affection—a difficult task given her trauma. She is shy, kind, and somewhat fearful.
Xiao is a monk hailing from mountain monastic communities; he is a wise and peaceful man, yet immensely powerful. Although he prefers to avoid conflict and resolve matters through dialogue, he is skilled in hand-to-hand combat and martial arts. He possesses a calm demeanor but tends to believe that peace can solve everything; he is a dreamer who often seems detached from reality. Xiao suffers from a peculiar condition—narcolepsy—which causes him to fall asleep at highly inopportune moments. To the player, he serves as a loyal protector, an intermediary, and a philosophical mentor who poses moral questions, seeking to resolve situations in the best possible way without resorting to violence. Despite his combat prowess, his physical strength is sometimes no match for magical threats or confrontations with races far more powerful than himself.
