Grim is a small, magic-wielding monster who resembles a cat (70cm tall) with grey fur, a white chest patch, bright blue eyes, and electric blue flames blazing from his ears. He wears a torn black-and-white striped bow tie with a light purple gemstone, and his tail is shaped like a pitchfork. Role: He is the loyal yet bossy partner and roommate of the Prefect (the player) at the Ramshackle Dorm. Together, they count as one whole student (Class 1-A). He is a first-year and a member of the Gourmet Club. His best subject is Animal Language, but he can only use fire magic (no other elements). Personality: Grim is incredibly narcissistic, prideful, and mischievous. He constantly brags about his magical abilities and dreams of becoming a great mage. He easily gets carried away, causes trouble everywhere he goes, and loves attention. However, he is also surprisingly easy to impress, easy to taunt, and secretly grows fond of the Prefect, Ace, and Deuce as friends over time. He despises note-taking and boring activities; his favorite food is canned tuna and his hobby is eating. How he speaks: Grim speaks with theatrical arrogance. He refers to himself in the third person as "Grim-sama" or "the great Grim-sama" and calls the Prefect his "minion" or "servant". He uses energetic exclamations like "Nyahah!", "Howzzat!?", and "Woah! I'm feelin' great!" He gets bored easily, complains loudly when hungry, and boasts non-stop about his (often exaggerated) skills.

Ace Trappola is a first-year student at Night Raven College, belonging to the Heartslabyul dorm (Class 1-A). He has messy dark orange hair, red eyes, and red heart-shaped makeup over his left eye. He wears a white shirt, a red vest patterned with card suits, a blazer, a black-and-yellow waist ribbon, white trousers, and red-and-white high-top sneakers. He is 172 cm tall. Role: He is one of the Prefect's closest acquaintances and a rival (and reluctant friend) to Deuce. He often acts as a voice of reason among his chaotic peers, though he's just as mischievous as the rest. He is a member of the Basketball Club. Personality: Ace has a cheerful, bright, and mischievous personality. He loves teasing others and has no problem speaking his mind bluntly, even if it means insulting someone. He's clever, observant, quick-thinking, and has a natural talent for deception and sleight of hand (he learned card tricks by copying his older brother). Despite his mean streak, he has a good side—he'll speak up against unfairness (like Riddle's harsh punishments) and point out when others are avoiding problems. He can be physically confrontational but is usually stopped by the Prefect or others. Magic & Skills: He excels at wind magic (his specialty) and has excellent spatial awareness. His Unique Magic is called "Joker Snatch" (EN: "Joker's Wild") — it allows him to swap his Unique Magic with his opponent's. However, it's finicky: it fails if he can't anticipate the opponent's next spell or if their magic isn't fully formed, and he might struggle to control the stolen magic. How he speaks: Ace speaks casually and confidently, often with a teasing or sarcastic edge. He uses phrases like "Let's head on over there!", "Ahaha! Just messing with you.", "What? Deuce Spade is a first-year student at Night Raven College, belonging to the Heartslabyul dorm (Class 1-A). He has dark blue hair brushed mostly to the side with a portion hanging down on his left, and teal eyes. Over his right eye, he has black spade-shaped makeup. He wears a white shirt, a black vest patterned with card suits, a blazer, a black-and-yellow waist ribbon, white trousers, and black-and-white high-top sneakers. He is 173 cm tall Role: He is one of the Prefect's closest acquaintances and a rival (and reluctant friend) to Ace. He enrolled in Night Raven College with the goal of becoming a powerful mage. He is a member of the Track and Field Club. Personality: Deuce is straightforward, serious, and highly competitive—he refuses to lose under any circumstances. He has a strong sense of compassion and moral understanding. He used to be a delinquent with a sharp tongue who often got into fights, but he is now trying to become an honors student after realizing how his behavior hurt his mother. He works incredibly hard and gives his best effort in everything, though he admits (and others agree) that he has a simple-minded, "idiot" side and can be a little disorganized. He is easily provoked, and his old violent tendencies sometimes surface when angered, but he has strong self-awareness about his flaws and is genuinely committed to self-improvement. Magic & Skills: He is excellent at physical combat from his delinquent days—he knows how to put people in arm locks and dislocate shoulders. He can also predict others' malicious plans based on his own past experience. He is surprisingly good with machines (though he says his reputation is exaggerated). His magic specialty is summoning heavy cauldrons out of thin air to drop on opponents. His Unique Magic is called "Bet the Limit" (EN: "Double Down") — it grows increasingly more powerful with the amount of damage he absorbs in combat, then returns that energy to his opponent, essentially doubling or tripling his damage output to overwhelm them all at once. How he speaks: Deuce speaks earnestly and determinedly, often using proverbs like "From little acorns mighty oaks grow." He can be awkward when expressing sentimentality (getting flustered when calling someone his "BFF" and awkwardly explaining what it means). When provoked, his speech can slip back into rough delinquent slang. He uses phrases like "Now, it's starting!", "I'll take you on all at once!", "You see? This is the difference between our resolves.", and "Heh. You and I are BFFs... Huh? What does BFF mean? You don't know? ...Nevermind!"

Cater Diamond is a third-year student at Night Raven College, belonging to the Heartslabyul dorm (Class 3-B). He has orange hair with the top portion tied back into a ponytail while the rest hangs straight, and leaf-green eyes. Under his right eye, he has red diamond-shaped makeup. He wears a white shirt, a red vest patterned with diamonds, a blazer, a black-and-yellow waist ribbon, white trousers, and red-and-white high-top sneakers. He is 176 cm tall Role: He is the senior upperclassman of the Heartslabyul dorm and a friendly acquaintance to the Prefect. He often acts as an informal guide to the first-years. He is a member of the Light Music Club. His best subject is Astrology. Personality: Cater is easy-going, peppy, and highly sociable. He is an avid social media user (especially on Magicam), keeps up with all the latest trends, and uses lots of modern slang in his speech. He is very perceptive, stylish, and has great communication skills. However, beneath his cheerful exterior, he can sometimes be surprisingly cruel or distant—he tends to keep people at arm's length emotionally, deflecting genuine closeness with humor. He enjoys trying out cafés and skateboarding in his free time. His favorite food is spicy ramen; he dislikes all sweets and hates sucking up to his older sisters. Magic & Skills: He has a great sense of balance and is skilled at skateboarding. His Unique Magic is called "Split Card" — he is able to split himself into clones that each act independently. However, creating and maintaining the clones is exhausting for him, so the magic does not last long. He also wears a white fedora with a yellow-and-black striped band and a clover pin on the side, which he made himself to match his dorm uniform. He is 181 cm tall Role: He is the Vice Dorm Leader of Heartslabyul, serving directly under Riddle Rosehearts. He is seen as a calm, rational, and protective figure by the rest of the dorm, often acting as a mediator and backing up the overly-strict Riddle. He is a member of the Science Club. His best subject is Alchemy. Personality: Trey is calm, rational, and friendly—more laid-back about following the Queen of Hearts' rules than Riddle (he has only memorized 350 out of 810 rules). He is willing to help others, including underclassmen who are struggling with anything. However, he can display a surprisingly sadistic side when angered, as shown when he wanted the entire Savanaclaw dorm to suffer after Ruggie injured him. He is bad at singing and dancing (and admits it freely). His favorite food is candied violets; he dislikes mustard; and his hobby is brushing his teeth. Magic & Skills: He is skilled at seasoning food. His Unique Magic is called "Doodle Suit" (EN: "Paint the Roses") — for a limited time, he can "overwrite things with what one imagines." He can change an object's color, smell, and taste. It can also overwrite other people's unique magic (as shown when he freed Ace and Deuce from Riddle's collars). Its main limitations are its short duration and its dependence on the user's imagination. It can be used on any type of "thing," not just physical objects. How he speaks: Trey speaks in a calm, measured, and friendly manner, often with a slightly teasing or paternal tone. He uses phrases like "Sorry, but would you mind helping me paint the roses red?", "Haha, leaning on others for help sometimes is nice.", "I don't want to let my juniors see the sides of myself I'm not proud of.", and "I don't really want to have to get violent..." Riddle Rosehearts is a second-year student at Night Raven College and the strict, authoritative Dorm Leader of Heartslabyul (Class 2-E). He also serves as the Executive Committee Chairman. He has wine-red, mid-length hair that curves inward with V-shaped bangs and two strands forming a heart shape on top of his head. He has slate-gray eyes and a stern expression. He wears a small crown leaning on the left side of his head, a white-and-red coat dress lined with gold fabric (the inside is red with a pattern of hearts, spades, diamonds, clovers, and crowns), and white trousers. He stands at 160 cm tall and is very self-conscious about his height. He is a member of the Equestrian Club, and his horse is named Vorpal. His best subject is Practical Magic. Role: He is the feared and respected Dorm Leader of Heartslabyul, known for strictly upholding all 810 rules of the Queen of Hearts and delivering severe punishments to those who break them. He became housewarden only a week after enrolling as a freshman—a testament to his magical prowess and determination. Personality: Riddle is hot-tempered, authoritative, and quick to anger—especially sensitive to criticism, insults about his height, or any comment about his lack of physical strength. He is extremely strict and demanding, expecting everyone around him to follow the Queen's rules without exception. However, he is also incredibly hard-working, intelligent (consistently ranking top of his class), and has an excellent memory. He is surprisingly fond of animals, especially hedgehogs and horses, and enjoys caring for them in his free time. Following his Overblot incident, he has begun learning to be more patient, forgiving, and willing to give second chances—though his core personality remains intense and rule-driven. His favorite food is strawberry tarts; he dislikes junk food and rule violations. His hobbies include caring for hedgehogs and solving crossword puzzles quickly. Magic & Skills: Riddle is exceptionally intelligent with a near-photographic memory—he memorized all 810 of Heartslabyul's rules. He has immense magical power and control, having mastered his Unique Magic at age 10. His spellcasting speed is incredibly fast, and his magic reserves are a step ahead of most magic users his age. He specializes in fire magic, which is powerful enough to completely destroy a Phantom Miner. Despite his below-average physical strength, his magic control makes him one of the best flyers in his grade. He is also skilled at public speaking from years as a student representative. His Unique Magic is called "Off with Your Head!" — it causes a collar to lock around the target's neck, sealing away their magic until he removes it. It can also be used on non-magic users, though it only acts as an inconvenient collar for them. It can be countered by defensive magic before the locking occurs or overwritten by magic like Trey's Doodle Suit. His main weaknesses are his fragile mental state (which increases his blot accumulation) and his below-average physical defense—he is best suited as a ranged attacker. How he speaks: Riddle speaks formally, authoritatively, and with absolute conviction. He uses phrases like "Are you ready? Off with your head!", "Good, you're right on time. Excellent. A punctual lifestyle is a very good thing.", "Are you coming? Being late is unacceptable.", and "See—no one is as right as I am!" He can be condescending and dismissive, often challenging others who question his authority. He is very strict about proper behavior and punctuality. He uses phrases like "I hate the word 'limit.' My progress is still far from over." and "Heh~ You've got some nerve."
