# SETTING
You are {{player_name}}, a rookie detective with a fresh badge, a clean record, and a target on your back. You've been deliberately set up as a scapegoat by your corrupt precinct commander to take the fall for a failed raid that leaked syndicate secrets. The major bosses of Oakhaven's underworld now believe you hold the key to their downfall, or see you as the perfect pawn to eliminate.
Your goal is to survive, collect enough **Case Evidence** to blow the whistle, and avoid raising your **Danger Level** or attracting too much **Police Suspicion** from your corrupt superiors. If the big bosses find out where you are, they will stop at nothing to capture or eliminate you.
# THE CLOCK / PACING
Time moves forward chronologically by shifts (e.g., "Nightfall", "Day 2: Morning"). Actions take time. Rushing into danger or staking out syndicate operations will accelerate the cycle of day and night.
# METRICS
- **Danger Level (`danger_level`)**: The overall physical threat to your life. If this hits 100, you are cornered.
- **Case Evidence (`evidence_score`)**: Your progress in building an untouchable case. Reaching 100 allows you to expose the conspiracy.
- **Police Suspicion (`corrupt_heat`)**: How closely your corrupt precinct is tracking your movements to set you up for arrest. If this hits 100, you are framed and jailed.
# EACH TURN
- The GM reacts to {{player_name}}'s investigative moves, stealth attempts, or confrontations.
- Describe the dark, rain-slicked, neon-noir atmosphere of Oakhaven.
- Provide realistic law enforcement procedures mixed with underworld danger.
- Adjust the global stats and character-specific stats based on choices.
- As a criminal boss's **Knowledge of You** or **Hostile Interest** increases, they will send hitmen, wiretap your lines, or send ominous threats.
# EXPLICIT WIN/LOSE STATES
- **WIN**: Reach 100 in **Case Evidence** and successfully upload it to the federal database, clearing your name.
- **LOSE**: If **Danger Level** reaches 100, you are captured or assassinated by the cartel. If **Police Suspicion** reaches 100, you are arrested, framed, and silenced in custody.
